06/29/06           One day shy of one year from the Phillies first Town Championship victory, the Phillies made it two Town Championships in a row with a come from behind 9-8 win over the Lynx. The Phillies awarded Game Balls and Co Player of the Game Honors to J.T. Nichols and Elijah Shorter.
06/28/06           The Phillies move to within one win of the 2006 AAA Town Championship with a 26-6 victory over the Lynx. The Phillies named Matt "Kappy" Kapilian and Jackson Miller Co Players of the Game.
06/25/06           For the fourth time in five years, the Phillies reign as kings of the National League, taking home the National League Crown with a 20-6 victory over the Giants. Matt "Kappy" Kapilian, Jackson Miller, J.T. Nichols, and Anthony Senesi were each awarded Game Balls, and J.T. was also named Player of the Game. The Phillies will play the winner of Monday's Rangers/Lynx game in the Town Championship Series this week.
06/21/06           The Phillies have moved to within one win of the National League Championship with a 7-4 victory over the Pirates. The Giants defeated the Braves 12-6 tonight. The Phillies will play the winner of Thursday's Pirates vs. Giants game for the National League Championship this weekend.
06/18/06           The Phillies handed the Braves their worst loss of the season, winnig 24-4. The win advances the Phillies to the winners bracket game on Wednesday. Game Balls were awarded to Mark Arigo, J.T. Nichols, Bobby Paquette, and Anthony Senesi. Vishon Lewis, Paul Schertzer, and Elijah Shorter were named Co Players of the Game. The cards for the Game Ball and Player of the Game winners will be posted Monday night.
06/17/06           After a slow start, down 5-0 after one half inning, the Phillies came from behind to defeat the Brewers 11-5. Game Balls were awarded to Sean Kilmurray and Stone Macharia. Elijah Shorter and Paul Schertzer were named Co Players of the Game.
06/09/06           The Phillies won there fourth straight game, and eighth in there last nine games tonight with a 10-6 victory over the Dodgers. Matt Kapilian was named Player of the Game, and Matt and Jackson Miller were each awarded a Game Ball.
06/05/06           The Phillies defeated the Brewers 15-2. The Phillies named Vishon Lewis Player of the Game.
06/04/06           The Phillies defeated the Express 10-3. This is the fourth year in a row the Phillies have won 10 or more games. The Phillies awarded Game Balls to Sean Kilmurray and Bobby Paquette. Vishon Lewis and Paul Schertzer were named Co Players of the Game.
06/01/06           The Phillies defeated the Giants 5-1. J.T. Nichols and Elijah Shorter were named Co Players of the Game. A new set of cards has been added to the Trading Cards Page. The Mid Season Update includes stats and highlights from the first half of the season.
05/30/06           The Phillies Lost to the River Cats 3-2. Jack Libresco-Puckett was awarded a Game Ball for a great play in right field that lef to an out at the plate. Jackson Miller and Elijah Shorter were named Co Players of the Game. Stats, cards, and a write up of this game will be available this weekend.
05/24/06           The Phillies defeated the Pirates 6-2 to imporve to 8-1-1 on the season. Elijah Shorter was named Player of the Game.
05/22/06           The Phillies improved to 7-1-1 on the season with a 15-3 victory over the Cubs. The Phillies named Paul Schertzer Player of the Game and awarded Game Balls to Mark Arigo and Jackson Miller.
05/18/06           The Phillies improved to 6-1-1 on the season with a 18-0 victory over the Storm. The Phillies pitching staff extended their scoreless innings streak to 13 innings and have allowed just seven runs in the last 24 innings. A Game Ball was awarded to J.T. Nichols and a Game Ball and Player of the Game Honors went to Sean Kilmurray. This game marks the first time the Phillies have ever won back to back shutouts.
05/12/06           The game scheduled for Friday, May 12th has been posponed due to rain. The game is now scheduled for 2:30pm on Sunday, May 14th at Scannell Field.
05/08/06           In case you haven't checked out the statistics page on ArlingtonLittleLeague.com, the Phillies are among the league leaders in a number of offensive categories.
           Paul Schertzer and Vishon Lewis lead the way, placing in the top five in six different offensive categories each.
           Paul leads the league in hits (13), and is tied for the league lead in runs scored (12) and doubles (3). Paul is tied for second in runs batted in (12), is in fifth place in batting average (.722), and is tied for fifth in walks (6).
           Vishon leads the National League in home runs (4) and is tied for the lead in runs scored (12), and doubles (3). Vishon is tied for third in runs batted in (11) and tied for fourth in hits (10) and walks (7).
           J.T. Nichols and Matt "Kappy" Kapilian each are among the top five in five different categories each.
           J.T. is tied for second in doubles (2) and runs batted in (12). J.T. is in third place in walks (8), is tied for third in runs scored (9), and is tied for fourth in hits (10).
           Kappy is tied for second in triples (2) and all alone in fourth in runs batted in (10). Kappy is tied four fifth in runs scored (7), hits (9), and walks (6).
           Elijah Shorter places among the top five in four different categories. Elijah is tied for second in runs scored (10) and doubles (2). Elijah is tied for fifth in hits (9) and runs batted in (9).
           Jackson Miller is tied for fourth ins runs scored (8) and tied for fifth in walks (6). Anthony Senesi is tied for second in the National League in walks (9). Jack Phelps is tied for fifth in walks (6).
           On the mound, the Phillies have three of the top five marks in the National League in strikeouts. Elijah is second (20), J.T. is fourth (18) and Kappy is fifth (17).

           Tonight the Phillies defeated the Blue Claws by a score of 13-0. Stone Macharia was awarded a Game Ball and ELijah Shorter was awarded a Game Ball and named Player of the Game.
05/07/06           The Phillies played a great game with the Braves on Sunday that ended in a 3-3 tie. The tie moves the Phillies into sole possession of second place. Jackson Miller and J.T. Nichols were named Co Players of the Game. The Pictures and Roster Pages have been updated.
05/06/06           After five days off thanks to the rain, the Phillies bounced back from their loss last Sunday to win a close one with the Brewers 6-4. Vishon Lewis was awarded a Game Ball and Elijah Shorter was awarded a Game Ball and named Player of the Game.
05/02/06           The Phillies game scheduled for tonight is canceled due to rain. A makeup has not been officially scheduled, but it will likely be this Sunday, May 7th. The Phillies have added a practice from 5:00-7:00pm at the Skating Rink on Thursday, May 4th.
04/30/06           The Phillies dropped a tough game to the Pirates 17-12 to fall to 3-1 on the season. Anthony Senesi was awarded a Game Ball and Paul Schertzer was awarded a Game Ball and named Player of the Game.
04/28/06           The Phillies defeated the Giants 8-7 in a wild game on Friday to improve to 3-0 on the season. Matt "Kappy" Kapilian and Sean Kilmurray were awarded Game Balls and J.T. Nichols was name Player of the Game.
04/26/06           The Phillies defeated the River Cats 17-2 on Wednesday to improve to 2-0 on the season. Matt "Kappy" Kapilian was named player of the game. Matt was 2 for 2 with 2 triples, three walks, three runs batted in and a run scored.
04/24/06           The game scheduled for April 24th has been postponed due to rain. As soon as we have a makeup time and day we will post it. We are looking at a makeup at either 1:00 or 5:30 on Sunday, April 30th, but that has not yet been confirmed.
04/22/06           The Phillies opened the 2006 season with a 36-1 victory over the Cubs. Anthony Senesi was named Defensive Player of the Game and Vishon Lewis was named Offensive Player of the Game. The web site has had a number of updates. In addition to the stats and write up for the Phillies opening day win, the roster and staff pages have been updated with pictures. A new page has been added. At the end of last season, we created virtual trading cards for the Phillies. The "Trading Card Page" will be updated periodically with the 2006 Phillies Trading Cards. The "Opening Day Edition" cards are now up as well as the first two cards from the "Player of the Game Edition". The "Pictures Page" has some pictures of the Patriot's Day Parade. We'll be adding pictures as the season goes on.
04/21/06           The Phillies played there second game of the preseason on Thursday night against the Rangers. In the top of the first Matt "Kappy" Kapilian, on the mound for the Phillies, got a line drive to Vishon Lewis at first, a ground ball to J.T. Nichols at shortstop, and a strikeout to retire the side in order. In the bottom of the inning, Nichols singled and stole second, scoring on Elijah Shorter's two run home run. With one out, Paul Schertzer doubled and stole two base making the score 3-0. Lewis singled and stole second. Bobby Paquette sacrificed Lewis to third. Jackson Miller singled making the score 4-0. Miller stole second and scored on Mark Arigo's single. Stone Macharia doubled. Nichols singled scoring two more runs. Elijah Shorter singled. Nichols stole three bases and Shorter stole two, giving the Phillies the 9-0 lead.
           In the second, Jackson Miller came in to pitch for the Phillies and struck out the side. Schertzer led off the bottom of the inning with a single and scored on Lewis's two run home run. With one down Miller doubled and scored on Anthony Senesi's single. Senesi stole two bases. Jack Phelps drew a walk. Elijah Shorter's second home run of the game, this time a three run shot gave the Phillies the lead 15-0. Kapilian singled, but was stranded.
           In the third, Miller got the first batter on a strikeout. Runners reached first and third on a double and single. Miller got the second out on a strikeout. The Rangers pushed two runs across with a triple, but Miller got the strikeout to maintain the 15-2 lead. In the bottom of the third, Lewis drew a walk. Sean Kilmurray, Miller, and Senesi each singled. Phelps drew a walk. Nichols and Shorter each singled. Kapilian cleared the bases with a triple. Schertzer drew a walk and the Phillies led 22-2.
           Shorter came in to pitch the last three innings for the Phillies. Shorter struck out nine allowing just two walks. Kilmurray and Paquette each drew walks in the fourth, but the Phillies didn't score.
           In the fifth, Nichols led off with a single and stole two bases. With one down, Kapilian singled scoring Nichols. Schertzer's two run home run made the score 25-2. Lewis drew a walk and was sacrificed to second by Kilmurray. Paquette drew a walk. Arigo's single score two more. That's where it ended with the Phillies winning 27-2.
04/19/06           The Phillies played the Rangers on April 19th in a preseason game. The Phillies got on the board early. IN the top of the first inning, J.T. Nichols singled and Sean Kilmurray was hit by a pitch. Singles by Matt "Kappy" Kapilian and Paul Schertzer produced a run. Vishon Lewis's sacrifice scored another run. Bobby Paquette's home run made the score 4-0. In the bottom of the inning, Nichols, pitching for the Phillies struck out two and got a ground ball to Kapilian at shortstop to retire the side in order.
           In the second, the Phillies went down in order. In the bottom of the inning, Nichols surrendered a lead off walk, but struck out three in a row to retire the side.
           In the third, Jackson Miller walked and Kapilian singled. Schertzer sacrificed in a run. Lewis's double made the score 6-0.In the bottom of the inning, Nichols got a strikeout for the first out. A walk and a fielder's choice put a runner on first with two out. A home run cut the Phillies lead to 6-2, but that is as close as the Rangers would get. Nichols got the strikeout to end the inning.
           The Phillies broke the game open in the fourth inning. Mark Arigo walked and Elijah Shorter singled. Nichols drew a walk. Miller singled and Kapilian walked. Schertzer singled. Lewis, Paquette, and Stone Macharia each drew walks. Arigo singled and Shorter and Nichols each walked. Miller and Kapilian each singled. Schertzer tripled. Lewis and Paquette each walked. Macharia singled. When the dust settled, the Phillies led 21-2. In the bottom of the inning, the Rangers put three runs up on the board, but Kapilian got two strikeouts and a pop up to Lewis at first to end the inning.
           In the fifth frame, the Phillies got on the board again. Anthony Senesi and Shorter each walked. Nichols and Miller each singled. Kapilian and Schertzer each drew walks. Jack Phelps was hit by a pitch. That's where it ended with the Phillies coming out on top by a score of 24-5.
